Roaring Signposts that Welcome

Cycling has been a liberating experience, it slows time down so you begin to appreciate the routes traveled and observe things that often whizz by. My riding adventures began a few months ago and on my trips I rediscovered these beautifully designed cement signposts installed across villages in Goa circa 1970 – 1980, by the Lion’s Club.

The signs, some still in good shape, some broken and others knocked down read ‘Welcome to….’ on one side and on the flipside ‘Thank You for Visiting…’

If you have any information pertaining to these signposts, including who commissioned / designed / produced them and which year they were installed, please let me know. I would also like to locate and record these signs across Goa, any information regarding the same would be appreciated.
